反中亂港分子黎智英日前獲美國天主教大學（The Catholic University of America）頒授榮譽學位，並由其子黎崇恩代表出席頒授典禮。全國政協副主席梁振英昨（17日）在社交媒體貼出一篇致美國天主教大學的英文公開信，讓全球天主教團體更了解黎智英過去的所作所為，去判斷他是否值得頒授榮譽學位。

梁振英在信中首先指出，美國天主教大學將榮譽學位授予黎智英，而作為一所天主教大學，該校不能假裝沒看到。接着他表示，「讓我們這些與黎智英身處同一城市的人，與你分享我們對他的了解，好讓全球天主教團體來判斷黎智英是否是一位值得獲天主教大學榮譽學位的優秀天主教徒。」

梁振英稱，他從黎智英所創立的出版物開始說起，指出由1993年12月至2017年8月16日期間，他的出版物共131次被香港淫穢物品審裁處依據《淫褻及不雅物品管制條例》定罪。

「是的，是淫穢，不是政治。我懷疑他（黎智英）的出版物在未經大量修改下，是否會被允許進入你的教堂。」梁振英續說：「如果你不相信，我可以隨機送一份到你的大學。要小心打開它。」

梁振英又提到黎智英的出版物在賽馬（又名賭馬）方面也很突出，每逢比賽日，他的旗艦「報紙」《蘋果日報》的銷量平均增加了30%。

至於黎智英本人，梁振英形容他是以講粗話、喝超昂貴的葡萄酒和飲食奢靡而聞名。

梁振英指出，很多香港人追隨黎智英的金錢和政治，但很少有人會因為他的宗教信仰而追隨他。他形容，「你們的大學傷害了香港天主教徒。」最後，他詰問校方：「黎智英是個好天主教徒嗎？黎智英是天主教徒嗎？」

梁振英給美國天主教大學的公開信全文如下：

An open letter to the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.

You recently conferred an honorary degree onto Jimmy Lai. You are a Catholic University. One cannot look the other way. 

Let those of us who share the same city with Jimmy Lai share with you our knowledge of him. Let the world’s catholic community judge if Jimmy Lai is a good enough Catholic worthy of a Catholic university’s honorary degree. 

Let me start with the publications that he founded, owned and managed. 

His publications were convicted 131 times by the Hong Kong Obscene Articles Tribunal for offences under the Control of Obscene and Indecent Articles Ordinance from December 1993 to 16 August 2017. 

Yes, obscenity, not politics. I doubt if his publications would be allowed into your church without heavy redactions. If you are not convinced, I can send a random copy to your university. Open it with caution. 

His publications stood out also for horse racing (aka horse gambling). On race days, he sold on average 30% more copies of Apple Daily - his flagship “newspaper”. 

As for the man himself, he is known for his foul language, his ultra expensive wines and extravagant dining.

Catholic?

Many in Hong Kong followed Jimmy Lai for his money and politics. Few if any ever follow him for his religion. Your university has done a disservice to Hong Kong catholics.
